Overview of Our Journey
1) Truth telling must come before reconciliation. We begin the journey with learning about our shared history on Turtle Island while exploring the different nervous system responses that can arise when we engage in difficult conversations around colonization and Reconciliation.
Build the foundation for a strong relationship to Self and others during our time together.
This circle includes: a brief timeline of colonization on Turtle Island, experiential learning, self-reflection, group sharing.
2) Our second circle is about reflecting on tools and perspectives rooted in Indigenous worldviews; we offer ideas on ways to decolonize the workplace –which benefits ALL people.
Thought-provoking and practical, the cohort will walk away with tangible ideas that people can do within all levels of the organization and have a clearer understanding of Indigenous worldviews.
No matter your organization or title you hold, there will be takeaways for everyone. One of our most popular circles!
This circle includes: storytelling, a self assessment, small and big group discussions, and theory.
3) Disruptive change asks us to step outside our comfort zones and re-evaluate our long-standing beliefs and worldviews. Explore the use of breathwork plus other tools for cultivating greater nervous system resiliency to navigate changes in our personal, professional and societal realms.
This circle includes: simple and easy breathwork guidance that can be done from your desk, experiential learning and theory based on nervous system regulation.
4) Using the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report as a framework, create a ReconciliACTION plan that will help you do your part to create a more just, equitable, and compassionate society for all.
We will review and recall the power and influence you hold in your workplace and community to create meaningful change.
This circle includes: review of TRC's Calls to Action and UNDRIP; use of the Well-Being Workbook; theory; developing your own reconciliACTION plan (either for yourself or your business).
5) Our final circle will revolve around collective care -- as leaders and change agents need to be well resourced to do important work. Reconciliation and societal change goes hand-in-hand with well-being. Our individual well-being contributes to collective well-being -- and we need holistic wellness to continue to step into and drive systems change. Experience a creative modality to help to process change, move through stagnant thoughts and feelings around Reconciliation, and spiral into collective care.
This circle includes:
a guided creative and somatic activity, deep reflection facilitated group discussions and a celebratory close to our journey.
